I was born in the year of “War”, the year of “Venus”, of “Take My Breath Away”, of “Papa Don’t Preach” and the year of “Manic Monday”.
So what?
Does that mean that I’m influenced today by those songs?I honestly don’t know.But, fact it, even though the following were hits during that year, I’m not “Dancing on the Ceiling”, I’m not even trying to “Walk Like an Egyptian”, I’m not waiting for “The Final Countdown”, I definitely don’t use a “Sledgehammer”(though i fantasize about it often), I’m not “Notorious”, and I’m not “Living in America”.Though from time to time, I do “Kiss”, and sometimes my head turns for a “Lady in Red”, and just call me crazy, but I sometimes find myself screaming “Rock Me Amadeus”.
So yes, sometimes I am the music, but not necessarily the music from the year I was born.And I may or may not have been influenced by it, but a lot of today’s music sure has.
